Well, this is it!!

This is our new place on the world wide web. After over 70,000 hits on our old site, it was time for an overhaul. We hope you will enjoy it!

And there is plenty to enjoy :) For example the page with a ‘must read’ first newsletter, which contains a lot of info as to why the old site and the galleries needed to change. It also contains some news about the upcoming FeltUnited book, as well as what we are asking from the participants in this new year, and of course the theme for 2012. We are very happy that we also have a  ‘Featured artists‘ link here on the blog where you can find a growing number of pages with interviews with felters. Fun, informative and inspirational. (Don’t miss the links at the top of the page for information about exhibitions, residencies/grants and wool festivals worldwide!)

So now you can send the link to all your friends, fellow felters, relatives and anyone you think might be interested. :) We will regularly write new posts and interviews, and talk about felt, what’s going on in the feltworld and promote felters. So come back often or better yet subscribe to follow the blog so you do not miss a post.

And if you want even more FeltUnited info and want to talk about your ideas for FeltUnited day just go to our Facebook page which is solely for FeltUnited business.

Take care.

I am a felt/fiber artist and instructor. I love to share the joys of feltmaking with others, having taught within the U.S. and internationally. I specialize in fun, out-of-the ordinary felt hats sold under the name of Felt So Right through specialty retail, boutique and gallery shops throughout the United States.I live in Plainwell, Michigan, where I work from my home studio. I believe that we are all artists....That it is the soul deep need to create. I love and appreciate so many of the arts, but I have found my passion through feltmaking. I find such joy in the alchemy of turning a few ounces of wool into a thing of beauty, limited only by the imagination and I find that the unique sculptural and color possibilities always inspire creativity. I have studied feltmaking with renowned felt and fiber artists from around the world. Feltmaking has truly opened windows to the world for me and I am grateful for this most wonderful opportunity. www.feltsoright.com
